Real moments. No performance. Just your day, exactly as it felt.
Real moments.
No performance.
Just your day, exactly as it felt.
That's not an accident. That's the whole job.
When you're not busy managing your photographer — when you're not being repositioned every five minutes or handed a shot list to memorize — you actually get to be in your wedding. You laugh at the real things. You look at each other the way you actually look at each other. And the camera catches all of it, because you forgot it was there.
That's when the good stuff happens. And that's exactly what I'm here for.
Based in northeast Iowa and available for weddings across the MIDWEST
SERVING IOWA, Wisconsin, Minnesota and EVERYWHERE INBETWEEN
Currently booking 2026 and 2027
The glance across the room when your song comes on. The way your mom straightens your dad's tie without thinking. The thirty seconds of quiet between the ceremony and the chaos where it finally hits you — we just got married.
These are the moments that don't make it onto timelines. Nobody schedules them. They just happen, usually when everyone else is looking somewhere else.
I've been doing this long enough to know where to stand, when to disappear, and when something is about to happen before it does. I'm not documenting your wedding from across the room — I'm in it with you, paying attention to everything.
Some couples want a modern venue with an outdoor ceremony with a view — venues like The Midnight Gem in Galena (formally known as Ashton Hill) were built for exactly that kind of magic. Some want a historic building with character baked into every wall, like the Dousman House in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. Some want a quiet oasis where they can have a weekend surrounded by nature and all of their favorite people like you can find at Winnebago Springs near Caledonia, Minnesota.
Whatever the setting, the approach is the same:
show up present, stay out of the way when it matters, and never stop paying attention.
The Midwest has the bones for weddings that feel cinematic without requiring a passport. Rolling hills, working farms, river bluffs, historic courthouses — and I'm based right in the middle of it, with a car full of gear and no interest in missing a single moment.
I’ve always been someone who slows down enough to notice what others might miss—the small, in-between moments that don’t ask for attention but end up meaning the most later on.
And now, as a mom who comes home from even the simplest walks with pockets full of tiny treasures found by little hands, that way of seeing has only deepened.
It’s the same lens I bring into your sessions—where your gallery holds the beautiful portraits you expect, but is also filled with the subtle, fleeting pieces of your life that make it yours.
