I knew I would be obsessed with this Heartland Acres wedding after Jeff and Jill’s engagement session. What I wasn’t expecting was having the chance of severe storms both times! When I met up with Jill and Jeff for their engagement session, the forecast called for “evening showers.” However, as I got closer and closer to Independence, more and more rain drops started hitting my windshield. Thankfully, our newlyweds aren’t scared by a little rain. But we were sad that we wouldn’t be getting an epic summer sunset like we hoped.
All week I tracked the weather. And much to my dismay, I saw the rain percentages grow with each passing day. And by the time I woke up on Saturday morning, the final verdict was a 75% chance of rain starting at noon and turning into severe storms by the time we arrived at the reception. Not ideal.
Similarly to their engagement session, as each hour passed, the forecasted storms kept holding off. And by the time I sat down in my car at the end of the night, other than those few sprinkles in the beginning of the day, we had a rain free day!
Jeff and Jill, your day was filled with so much love and laughter. I’m honored to have witnessed it first hand. I can’t wait to see how you take on this new adventure as husband and wife! Enjoy just a few of my favorites from your *almost* rainy wedding day at the Heartland Acres!
