Rain, rain, go away! That was the mantra I was telling myself on the entire drive to Decorah on Saturday night. I had checked the radar that morning – no rain. I had checked the radar at noon – 30% chance of scattered showers four hours before our session. I checked the radar at 3:00 – no change. I pack up the car and leave the house at 5:00 – downpour. Then it proceeded to downpour for the entire drive to Decorah. I drove from one side of Decorah to the other to make sure all of my backup rain locations would work if we absolutely had to use them.
But luckily for us, the rain stopped about ten minutes before our start time and the sun started to shine! So while our shoes may have been soaked by the end, we had glistening sidewalks and some of the most gorgeous shots as the fog started to roll in at Dunning Springs.
Zac and Rachel, thank you for making the drive to Decorah for your engagement photos on Saturday! I had so much fun getting to know you and your little family. I can’t wait till your wedding when we get to do it all over again!!!
It may have taken a lot of convincing but look who decided he did want to be in a few of the pictures!!!
This is probably my favorite photo from the entire session!
