The forecast is calling for even more snow and while I am not a fan in the slightest, my photographer heart is LOVING how magical it makes everything! The sun peeps through the clouds and everything glissens and shines. So while we may be slowly freezing in our boots, the photos make it all worth it, right?

I met up with Dylan and Jill last week in Decorah for their own winter engagement session. Just like fresh snow adds to the magic of winter, their love for each other shown through the cold. It was so fun getting to finally meet them in person, especially after getting to know them and hearing their story via email and Facetime. We hit some of my favorite spots in Decorah before heading out of town to get some photos at a friend’s barn as well as at a sweet wood pile. Between you and me, it was my first time shooting at a wood pile and it was amazing!!!

Dylan and Jill, thank you so much for letting me meet up with you on Friday. I am jumping for joy and counting down the days till we get to hang out in the snow again but this time for your winter wedding!!!!
