We got together on Sunday for a quick family session and even though it was a bit cold, we all powered through and got some amazing portraits of them all!

It isn’t very often that I get to photograph in new locations and a place called Bloody Run didn’t exactly sound pictureque, but after a few Google searches I was blown away! Tucked into the hills and just off the Mississippi, Bloody Run County Park had it all. Flowing water, natural praire type grass and trees as far as the eyes can see. Lesson learned: Never judge a location by it’s name! I will definitely be returning, but not until it warms up a bit 😉

Thank you again to the entire Hallberg family for letting me tag along Sunday morning! I may have mixed up every single one of your names at one point or another, but I enjoyed getting to meet and spend the morning with you all! I love when clients are able to joke around and have fun during their session- it made the time fly by (which isn’t always a good thing but y’all were pros so no worries about not getting enough great portraits) and it definitely helped me forget about the cold!
