All week the forecast was saying this Prairie du Chien wedding would be a rainy one. By Friday, the most I prayed for was that we would be able to sneak out for at least a few portraits. But I never would have imagined waking up on Saturday morning to a beautiful overcast day without a rain cloud in sight. I think that is a testament to the power that true love can have on the world.

And the more weddings I photograph, the more I see that in the end love is truly all that matters. It was never about the decor, the weather or even the photos (even though I think this is still an important one). At the end of the day, it is about making a vow to do life side by side with the one you love most…no matter how hard it gets.

Collin and Lexey, I am so excited for you to start this new adventure together. Your beautiful day in Prairie du Chien was just the beginning and I can not wait to see all the experiences you have hand in hand as husband and wife!!!
