I can honestly say that this is the first time I have written…at least the rough draft of a wedding blog…on the way home from the wedding! But Rebekah and Jacob had so many special moments on their wedding day in Prairie du Chien that I knew I needed to get all of my feelings down before I forgot them. Their day was unique and special in more ways than I can count and honestly, I would be down for doing it all over again at least a few more times!!! while I could write a whole novel about their Prairie du Chien wedding day, I’ll spare you the word count and limit myself to just my favorite!

I love capturing first dances. It’s one of my favorite moments of the day because any stress is gone and they can truly just enjoy the fact that they are married! But Rebekah and Jacob did something that I have never seen before and they also shared this special time with their parents by playing THEIR first dance songs. I thought that was so special and what a great way to celebrate the legacy of love before them!

But then they really threw me for a loop because then we did the father daughter dance and after a minute, they opened up the floor to any other fathers to have a chance to dance with their daughters. *Cue the happy tears* It was so special to see all the fathers dancing with their daughters. There were little girls dancing on their father’s toes to fathers who are getting to relive their own Father daughter dances. And don’t worry, all the moms got a chance to dance with their sons too!!!

Rebekah and Jacob, thank you for allowing me the honor of capturing your day! I loved all the special touches you added throughout the day. And I am still obsessing over all of your details!!! Thanks for welcoming me into your circle…even though most people thought we were related anyway. Enjoy reliving your day through some of my favorites!!!
