A Winter Wedding in the Midst of an Ice Storm

Northeast Iowa Weddings, Weddings

When Natalie and Walker decided on a winter wedding, I am sure they were envisioning a winter wonderland of snow and not the ice storm that we had this weekend. Roads were less than ideal throughout the day. But despite it all, the day was filled with so much warmth and joy.

And a huge part of that has to be credited to Walker and Natalie’s family and friends who brought such a positive attitude throughout the day. It would have been so easy to complain about the cold temperatures, especially when I asked the bridal party to trek outside for a few quick portraits. But everyone worked together to make sure Walker and Natalie’s day was everything they envisioned, even if that meant braving the snow and freezing rain. It was clear from the moment I arrived that everyone was simply thrilled to celebrate two people who mean so much to them.

To Natalie and Walker, thank you for trusting me to capture your incredible winter wedding day. Your kindness, love, and resilience are inspiring, and it was truly an honor to be part of such a special moment in your lives. Here’s to a lifetime of warmth, laughter, and love (and hopefully slightly less icy anniversaries)!
