They sat in the front row of the church quietly listening to the readings they had carefully selected. The day had finally come. They listened intently to every word. Knowing with every passing second they were one second closer to becoming man and wife. He stole a quick glance to his left and a smile immediately spread across his face. Sitting beside him was his best friend, his secret keeper, his greatest ally and his soon-to-be wife. It was as if everything before this moment finally made sense. This is where he was always meant to be. Sitting beside her, together, ready to take on all of life’s adventures. Then before they knew it, the time had come. They stood up in front of all their family and friends and with God as their witness they confessed their love to one another before sealing it with a kiss.

The start of forever had begun

Their love story was straight out of a fairy tale. Both Cassie and Marcus uprooted their lives choosing to leave their Midwest roots for a life out West. They yearned for a change of scenery and craved an adventure. Little did they know that moving across the country to Colorado and getting hired at Red Robin would be the start of their greatest adventure yet! Two years, a Red Rocks first date, a Solar Eclipse “I love you” and a mountain top proposal later, they started their next adventure on Saturday surrounded by family and friends as husband and wife.

Marcus and Cassie’s Cedar Rapids Iowa Wedding was one for the ages! It was windy and it was a little cold, but to them it didn’t matter. They were marrying their best friend. Getting to know Marcus and Cassie over this past year has truly been such an honor. Their day was filled with the biggest smiles, never-ending laughs and an abundant amount of love!

Marcus and Cassie, I am so thankful that you chose me to capture this next step in your adventure as husband and wife. I have no doubt that wherever this life takes you, whether it be in the hills of Colorado or the corn fields of Iowa, that your love will be a beacon for others. Seeing the two of you on your wedding day and hearing the words from your wedding party brought the happiest of tears to my eyes.
