Their love story started in the mountains of Colorado. Cassie and Marcus are both originally from the Midwest, however, a desire for a change of scenery brought them both out west. To anyone that visits this beautiful state, the mountains are always a highlight. But for these two they are extra special. They hold the sound of their first “I love you.” They hold the memories of when they climbed to the top of Mt Shermon. It took 6 long hours to climb the 14er. But, I think they would both agree that the view, as well as the sweet proposal at the top, was well worth the climb.

So, it was only fitting that we brought them to the closest mountains we have here in Iowa for their engagement session. Okay mountains may be a stretch, but our limestone bluffs are pretty cool too!

Last week, we explored all of the beauty of Decorah, Iowa for Marcus and Cassie’s engagement session. We went from flowing rivers to sprawling prairies. We ended the night by climbing the limestone for a one of a kind view of the town below. Marcus and Cassie are the definition of #SnitkerSweethearts who aren’t afraid to get their feet dirty. I am already counting down the days until I get to see them again on their wedding day.

Marcus and Cassie, thanks for making the drive all the way up to Decorah for your engagement session and for being down for all my adventures! I have had so much fun getting to know you both and hearing about your story. Your love story is so unique and I am beyond honored to be the one to document this next chapter for you both!
