Today’s rain is eerily similar to Erika and Jared’s Iowa farm engagement session last week. It down poured just half an hour before our start time. But we knew the radar looked like it would clear up so we took a chance!
After my GPS took me on the scenic route, I met up with Erika and Jared at the family farm. Things were wet but not muddy. It may not have been what either of us had hoped for but we made the most of it. I love when couples are super relaxed and up for whatever adventure I take them on. But it takes an extra special couple to do all of that when the weather doesn’t cooperate. It may have sprinkled and we may have had to hide under a barn for a little bit, but I had so much fun capturing these portraits. Leading up to this session, we had 12 straight senior sessions. And don’t get me wrong, I LOVE our seniors but mixing it up was good for my soul. Plus any time we take a trip to the pasture and the cows decide to tag along, you know we are gonna have a good time!
Erika and Jared, thank you for being up for a little dancing in the rain! The weather may not have cooperated at first, but the sun popped through just enough for us to create the most perfect memories. If last Friday was any indication of how your wedding will be, I know we are in for a day filled with love and laughter. I hope you enjoy a few of my favorites from your Iowa farm engagement session! I can’t wait to get you in front of my camera again in just a few short months!!!
