They stood on the dance floor. In the middle of the ballroom. Big smiles and tear-filled eyes. Just a father and his daughter surrounded by a sea of family and friends. The music began to play and everyone else seemed to disappear. Whispering words for only the other to hear. This moment was for them. The day may not have been exactly as they expected. They had all prayed that the forecast would be wrong and that the clouds would part and the sun would shine but it didn’t. The rain fell steadily throughout the entire day. Yet it didn’t matter. As he looked out amongst the crowd as the final notes began to play, a single tear fell from his eye. The day truly had been perfect. Because no amount of rain or clouds could have dampened the joy he felt that his little girl was married to the love of her life, her best friend and the one that made her heart complete.

I have so many favorite moments from Michael and Nicole’s rainy Old Brick Wedding. The excitement in the bridal suite when the bridesmaids saw Nicole in her dress for the first time or the look on Michael’s face when he turned around to see his bride. The sweet smiles and laughter during toasts. The love in both Nicole and Michael’s eyes when they OFFICIALLY became husband and wife! These memories and so many more, made the rain a distant memory. Old Brick was filled to the brim with love and joy as we all gathered together to celebrate the sweetest couple.

Your overwhelming joy and kindness was just as present on your wedding day as it was a year ago when we met up in the park for your engagement session and I pray that never changes. The love you two share is so special and it was an honor to be a part of your day.

Lastly, Ethan and I wish you both nothing short of a lifetime of happiness as you start this newest adventure. Together.
