I am so excited to share Aaron and Chelsea’s Prairie du Chien Country Club wedding with you!

There wasn’t a dry eye in the room. The warm glow from the setting sun illuminated Chelsea’s mom as she held the microphone tightly in her hand. She stared into the eyes of her daughter and shared a perspective only a mother could have. Gale shared a poem as we all leaned on every word.. She described Chelsea’s kindness, determination and strength.

But the thing that really stuck out to me the most was the fondness in her voice when talking about her new son-in-law, Aaron. Or as she described, the man who put the sparkle into her daughter’s eye. The man who used a small bag of fish to ask for Gale’s blessing before he proposed to Chelsea.

As a parent, I see weddings in an entirely new perspective. As Gale’s words surrounded us all, I couldn’t help but feel a lump build up in my throat. I started to imagine everything that must be going through a mother’s mind as she writes a toast to her daughter on her wedding day. Does she see the kind, successful grown woman in front of her or does she still see the little girl giggling in her room when friends are over? I felt like I saw a tiny glimpse into our future as we photographed that reception and it was such an honor to get to be in that room.

From beginning to end, Aaron and Chelsea’s Country Club wedding was a dream.

Yes the details were stunning, the dress was gorgeous, the venue was impeccable, the bridal party was one for the record books, but that’s not what I will remember about this day. I’ll remember the love. The love in Aaron’s eyes as he watched Chelsea in front of the camera. The joy in every member of their party as they watched them say their vows. The never ending laughter that filled their reception.

Aaron and Chelsea, it truly was a privilege to be the one to tell your story. Thank you for your kindness not only on your wedding day but in every interaction from the moment we first met. I am so excited to share a few (okay a lot) of my favorites from your day! And I hope you love seeing them as much as we loved capturing them!!!
