One of my favorite parts of our wedding experience is FINALLY getting to meet our couples in person. And that has never been more true than with Milan + Katie. Katie and I have been talking back and forth about her wedding for months now. And it is crazy that I feel like I knew her before actually meeting up for their Phelps Park engagement session a couple weeks ago!

The forecast was calling for rain overnight, but as we got closer to meeting up the clouds started getting darker and darker in Decorah. Thankfully, Milan + Katie were so relaxed through it all. And even better, they were up for anything despite the sprinkles when we arrived at the Fish Hatchery. I can’t even begin to explain how wonderful it is to work with couples that trust me wholeheartedly. Especially when the circumstances could change drastically at a moment’s notice.

Despite missing the sun, we had a chilly but amazing night and were able to use so many of my favorite locations. I am so thankful that these two trusted me to capture these photos for them. And I am even more thankful they included their sweet little pup, Dorn! Milan and Katie, don’t get me wrong…you guys killed it in front of the camera. But I think we can all agree that Dorn is the one that stole the show! Enjoy just a few of my favorites from our night at Phelps Park!
