A Waucoma Event Center Wedding

This day was a dream. From when I walked into the church where everyone was getting ready to when I walked out of the Waucoma Event Center at the end of the night, I was so honored to be the one to capture this day. Truthfully, I have been excited about this day since Rachel initially reached out to me. And now after getting to experience their day, I would venture to say it was everything they hoped it would be…and more.

There were so many moments throughout Russell and Rachel’s day that I made a mental note that I wanted to share with you. But between the excitement of the entire bridal party, the free flowing tears during the first look, all the way to the packed dance floor at the end of the night, I couldn’t possibly pick a favorite!

But I think what stuck with me the most was seeing the way their parents looked on throughout the day. Always with a huge smile on their face…and maybe a couple happy tears. Because while this was a monumental day for Rachel and Russell, it was also a big moment in their journey as parents too. Becoming a parent myself has made me cherish wedding days from a completely different perspective. Maybe it’s the fact that Maddie seems to be growing up way too fast these days, but I can only imagine that watching your child marry someone you have prayed for their entire lives has to be one of the most overwhelming, emotional and yet beautiful things.

Rachel and Russell, thank you for welcoming me into your day. It was an honor that I don’t take lightly. I hope this little taste of your day brings back all the emotions and memories of your day!!!
