Wyatt William | Happy First Birthday

Pop the confetti because we are celebrating Wyatt William’s first birthday!!!

It doesn’t seem real that we are celebrating Wyatt’s first birthday today. And to be honest, I am in denial. Because the days of him being our baby are limited. This little guy has turned our world upside down. And was the perfect addition to round out our family. This has been the fastest year of my life. Yet his constant smiles and newest obsession with being the cutest little troublemaker has made it one of the best. I can’t wait to see how his spitfire personality continues to grow and I’m already mentally preparing myself for all the fun this next year has in store!!!

ONE YEAR

• I never want to forget how after every meal he whips his hands in the air to tell us he is done, but then always need to grab one more bite for the road.
• Wyatt loves to carry things around in his mouth like a dog. I swear it is like Tucker was the one raising him more than we were.
• He has a lovely way of showing his love to me and that is through biting me any chance he gets. Really hoping we grow out of this phase sooner rather than later. But I can’t wait to show him the scars one day and remind him of the torture he put me through because he goes from giving you sweet kisses to taking a chunk out of your shoulder real quick!
• He loves Facetime or really any time he gets to hear people on the phone. He always gets a big smile when Ethan calls after work.
• Wyatt is a troublemaker through and through. I am pretty sure he gets a thrill out of hearing the word “no” because he will laugh endlessly as he continues on until you chase him down. Same goes for any open door or cabinet! He has eagle eyes and will speed off if he sees someone has left them slightly open.
• While he loves eating, he is a picky one when it comes to his bottles/milk. If it isn’t the perfect temp, he will throw it as far as he can or take evasive measures to keep himself away from it. Needless to say, the switch away from bottles has been a tricky one.
• We are slowly phasing out of our 18 month outfits which is honestly just crazy to me!
• We say lots of DaDa and MaMa, especially when he wants out of his crib. But my favorite thing is how he gives people huge good bye waves where he uses his whole upperbody!
