When we booked this McGregor Iowa wedding, we had no idea how life would change over the next year and a half. So when we realized we would be 37 weeks pregnant, Ethan thought I was crazy to want to still shoot it! However, I photographed Evan and Robin’s engagement session and I loved it so much that I knew if I COULD shoot it would be worth it. So we made sure to have backup and backup for our backups just in case. Thankfully we didn’t have to miss it! I have never been more proud of myself! It was a challenging day physically but I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.
The day started at the cutest AirBnB in McGregor called McGregor Manor. This beautiful Victorian home made for the perfect getting ready location. And it made the pre ceremony pictures some of my favorites to date! Then we headed off to a secluded spot surrounded by the beauty of Northeast Iowa for an intimate ceremony. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, Evan and Robin said I do just before the rain started to fall. So while we had to run in and out of shelter during portraits, I am so glad it happened then rather than during their vows. I am just so proud of them! They didn’t complain and remained joyful and excited to be married the entire day!
Evan and Robin, thank you for trusting us with your McGregor Iowa wedding! I can’t explain how much of an honor it is to have photographed your special day. And I can’t wait to see all of your honeymoon photos this fall! Enjoy my favorites from your day and enjoy!
