Backyard Wedding Postville Iowa | Andy + Abby

It wasn’t the day they may have originally planned. But their backyard wedding turned out to be the most magical day of the entire month! All week we had blistering hot temperatures. I thought for sure we will all be sweating to death.

But when we woke up on Saturday the weather was amazing!

We walked into the most chill getting ready room with all the girls. No stress or running around. Or at least that I could see! It was such a joy to capture all the little moments as they unfolded. Like the sweet notes all of the bridesmaids wrote for Abby. Or the sweet first look with her dad. And the VERY slow but extremely cute walk down the aisle from their nephews! But I think if I had to choose a favorite moment from the entire day it would be Andy’s speech at the reception. He told the story of how they met and while there were a lot of laughs there was also a lot of love behind his words. I would be hard pressed to find a photo of Andy where he wasn’t smiling ear to ear. Unless I instructed him to of course!

Andy and Abby, Ethan and I are so happy for you both. Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day! We had so much fun and are just so excited for you to start this next adventure as husband and wife. It is honestly the best!!! A backyard wedding may not have been the original plan but I think we can all agree it turned out more perfect than we could have ever imagined!
