I got my start with a hand-me-down camera, a big dream, and zero clue what ISO meant. Now? I help people like you capture real, authentic memories you’ll actually want to hang on your walls!

It feels a little bittersweet writing this one because its celebrating our last wedding of the year at Rustic Creek. And what a special one to end on. I met Hannah back in college, where we shared more than a few art classes. So getting to photograph her marrying Matt wasn’t just another wedding on the calendar, it felt very full circle.
The forecast wasn’t in our favor. And while rain on your wedding day is supposed to be good luck, constant all day freezing rain meant a lot of last-minute changes. And while there was definitely a moment of disappointment (because who doesn’t dream of perfect weather on their wedding day?), it was honestly beautiful to see how everyone came together. Family and friends all jumped in, making sure that even though the setting changed, the magic didn’t.
And boy was it magical. The soft sound of rain outside, the cute umbrellas wherever we went and the way everyone leaned in a little closer made the whole day feel intimate and full of heart. There was this quiet joy that threaded through everything. And it was a reminder that sometimes the most meaningful moments come from the unexpected.
Matt and Hannah, thank you for letting me be part of your story. Watching you two laugh through the rain, celebrate surrounded by the people who love you most and start this next chapter together was such a joy. If there’s a better way to end a wedding season, I haven’t found it yet!
