Tyler and Taylor tied the knot at The Court Above Main in the heart of downtown Lacrosse, Wisconsin. And every detail was so perfectly executed. I especially love how they incorporated some of their favorite businesses into their day. But from beginning to end, Saturday was the perfect celebration of Tyler and Taylor and the life they have created together.

If you’re searching for venues in La Crosse and you haven’t been up to the third floor of 420 Main Street yet, put it on your list. The Court Above Main is one of those spaces that earns its reputation the moment you walk in — sixteen-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, original hardwood floors, crystal chandeliers, and that particular kind of natural light that only comes from a historic building that was built before anyone thought to block it out.
It started life as a social gathering space over a century ago, became a YWCA gym at some point, and was eventually redesigned into the event venue it is today. That history shows in the bones of the place in the best way.
The space
The ballroom seats up to 180 for a plated dinner, 150 for buffet, and can accommodate up to 250 for dancing. It’s a downtown venue, which means your guests are steps from La Crosse hotels, restaurants, and the river — a real advantage for couples bringing people in from out of town. There’s a private bridal suite on-site for getting ready, and the team handles setup and teardown, which is the kind of detail that sounds small until it’s your wedding day.
The vibe

The light in this ballroom is extraordinary — those massive windows fill the space with soft, even natural light that makes everything look like it was styled for a magazine. I especially love what happens in the late afternoon when the sun shifts and the chandeliers start to come into their own alongside it. For couples who want that polished, editorial feel in their photos, this venue delivers it naturally.
