The forecast was calling for some unseasonably warm weather on Saturday for Alex and Taylor’s big day. I watched my thermometer as I drove closer and closer to Rockwell and by the time I arrived, it was already in the mid 70s. But even though the warmer than average temperatures were not what anyone was expecting for mid-September, we all worked together and made it the best day ever!
Alex and Taylor are such a beautiful couple. I have been looking forward to capturing their wedding day ever since we met up for their engagement session earlier this year. It was kind of like a tease, because we had the best time with them in Decorah and then we didn’t get to see them for months! But it was so fun to reunite with them on such an exciting day!
I would be hard pressed to pick just one moment to call my favorite but if I had to choose, it would probably be a toss up between seeing the smile on Alex’s face as Taylor walked down the aisle with her father. It is always such a special moment, but any nerves that they may have had just seemed to slip away when they saw each other. Or the competitive game of Flip Cup between the bridal party to kick off the reception. Two very different moments, but both memorable nonetheless.
Alex & Taylor, thank you for allowing Ethan and I to be a part of your special day. It was truly an honor to serve you in such an exciting season of life. Your day was nothing short of perfect and we’re so excited for you to see a few of our many favorites!
