Brandon and Jessie were an absolute joy to work with on Sunday. They were laughing the minute they got out of the car and that’s when I knew this was going to be a fun afternoon. I mean how could we go wrong–dreamy light, a fairy tale setting, the perfect amount of Beyoncé wind and a gorgeous couple madly in love?!? Jessie and I have been talking about this engagement session for a few months now, and I have been {not so} patiently waiting for the day to finally arrive.

We started out at Peake Orchards just outside of Waukon. I highly recommend you stop by to grab some of their delicious apples and homemade treats, just like we did before we left. We drove back on the winding road to the apple trees and after a little bout of rain we were able to walk through the orchard for some absolutely jaw-dropping portraits. Serious, smiling, laughing, doesn’t matter because they can rock them all!

It seems like their wedding is so far away because it’s in 2018, but it’s going to be here before we know it! I am so thankful that we get to go through this whole planning thing together. Our weekly texts about wedding “drama” is probably what will get me through all of this with the minimum amount of stress possible lol

Brandon and Jessie, thank you for letting me take you all over north east Iowa on opening day of deer season! You are so much fun to spend time with, and I honestly think we could have stayed and talked with you all night if I hadn’t been so excited to get started on editing all your photos!!!
