Diana and Ethan’s wedding day felt uncomplicated in the best way. A little western-inspired, a little windswept and fully centered around having a good time with the people they love most. From St. Mary’s in Bloomington to Memories on Maple in Boscobel, Wisconsin, the day carried the kind of ease that can’t really be planned for – the kind that happens when people stop worrying about perfection and just let themselves enjoy the day as it unfolds.

One of my favorite parts of the day was how naturally the details found their way into everything without ever feeling overdone. The boots, textures, colors – it all fit together in a way that felt true to them. Memories on Maple was the perfect backdrop for it all too: tucked away in the country with a quiet little pond and room for everyone to settle in and celebrate without feeling rushed.
And then sunset showed off a little. The light over the pond gave us some of my favorite portraits from the entire day – soft, glowy and the kind of moments that remind me why I’ll always encourage couples to sneak away for a few minutes together before the night is over.

Diana and Ethan’s wedding wasn’t about everything going perfectly on schedule. It was about being fully there for it all anyway. And honestly, those are usually the days people remember most.
