A Rustic Wedding at Memories on Maple

Nevin + Jessi

After a season of socially distant interactions and time apart, the barn was filled with joyful chatter and laughter as loved ones were reunited. But as Jessi made her entrance, the music shifted and carried with it the voices of all the guests. All the attention was on her and her mother walking arm and arm down the aisle. But what brought so many of us to tears wasn’t what we could see, but more so what we felt. While he couldn’t be there to physically walk her down the aisle, Jessi carried with her a small thumbprint charm of her father. And to everyone in attendance it was obvious that he was with us. He was there in spirit walking hand and hand with his daughter and wife.

Even through all the strangeness that 2020 has brought us, Nevin and Jessi were able to celebrate their one of a kind love with so many meaningful moments.

It has been the year of rescheduled and reimagined days but it just made the celebrations that much more special. And while I love wedding days more than my own birthday, for our couple’s sake, I am glad to be wrapping up this chapter in the hopes of a brighter and more normal spring!

Nevin and Jessi, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve you on your wedding day and capture memories that you’ll treasure for a lifetime. It was a true honor and privilege. Planning a wedding through a global pandemic is no joke but I have no doubt that you can handle anything life throws at you in the future because of it!
