A STUNNING CEDAR FALLS ENGAGEMENT – COREY & CORTNEY

Engagements

It was cold. It was windy. Yet I loved every minute of it!

One of my favorite parts of our wedding experience is by far the engagement session. It is so fun getting to know our couples in such an amazing time in their lives and then getting to capture the excitement they have for their upcoming wedding makes my hopeless romantic heart sing!

We made the quick trip down to Cedar Falls a couple Sunday’s ago for Corey and Cortney’s session and I knew it would be a bit chilly but the wind put it over the edge! I stepped out of the car and was immediately whipped in the face with my hair. It was going to be tough, but I knew we could make it work! Well wouldn’t you know it, within about ten minutes of their session we were able to find a little grove of trees that helped slow down the wind and then the sunset just low enough that it was glowing through the trees!!! These two probably thought I was crazy – in their defense I did ask them to walk into a bunch of dead weeds and was talking a mile a minute because I was so excited.

Then seeing as they both graduated from UNI, I knew their engagement session wouldn’t be complete without a trip down memory lane! And thank goodness they knew where they were going because no matter how many times I visit campus I ALWAYS get turned around and end up at Target 😉 We stopped at every nook and cranny and then these two nailed the lift!

Corey and Cortney, thank you for showing me around your alma mater and for trusting my vision when standing in a field of weeds. I can’t wait till your wedding next summer!!!! P.S. I hope you were able to make it back home in time for the second half of the game!
