A couple weeks ago I had the privilege of attending my soon to be cousin’s bridal shower. It was full of amazing food, lots of laughter and of course a few bridal shower games. We all introduced ourselves and were asked to say our favorite bridal shower memory. At the time, I didn’t have much to offer. To be honest, I haven’t been to a whole lot of bridal showers in my short 23 years, but after some thought I think I finally may have my answer.

My favorite part isn’t the games, the food, the gifts or even the little mints. Don’t get me wrong, all of those things are great, but my favorite part is being able to shower the bride with all the love and attention they can possibly take in one day. As someone who hates being the center of attention, this definitely isn’t something I am looking forward to in the future. But you can’t help but be excited about it at the same time. It is not very often that one gets to have everyone they care about under one roof just to honor them.

So that is what my favorite part of the bridal shower and in a few short weeks we will get to do the same thing all over again for the bride AND the groom!
