During each wedding there is always one moment that stands out to me more than the rest. During Adam and Kate’s rainy Grand Mounds Iowa wedding, both Ethan and I agreed on the way home that our favorite moment was less a moment but rather a phrase. After dinner, Adam gave a quick speech to everyone in attendance. He said the typical thank yous but instead of delivering the traditional script he took a moment to truly thank the guests. We are in a weird time, where social gatherings are different and far from the normal. But the love he had for each and every guest was so profound. As he mentioned, Kate and him could have gotten married in a courthouse and their day would have been perfect. But it was getting to be surrounded by their closest friends and family that made their day so special.

And a truer statement has never been said.

I don’t remember a single moment when there wasn’t a smile on everyone’s faces. We smiled through portraits as the rain started to fall. We cried happy tears as Adam and Kate shared their handwritten vows. And we reminisced with the biggest smiles on our faces as we pulled away in our car because the day was truly so magical!

Adam and Kate, I am so thankful that we were able to witness the celebration of your truly epic love. I knew from our first few emails back and forth in January that you two were the truest definition of a #SnitkerSweetheart if there was one. And this weekend only cemented that belief for me!!! I hope you have enjoyed these first couple days as husband and wife! Ethan and I can’t wait to see where this next journey leads you.
